Labor Day Camping!!

Whether it be because of work, jerk boyfriends, or some other reason, I have never been able to join the Labor Day Family Campout for the entire weekend (most years, work, the last time, jerk boyfriend), and I am SO excited to be going for the whole 4 days this year. SO excited!

I reserved a camp site with Stace, Tyler and Blake, and we've invited Daphnie to join us with her own little tent as well. There is always a "theme" for the year, and this year's theme is games. In light of having a pre-teen with us, we're doing nail polish and magazines as our game, hehe. Lucky Tyler...

Anyways, with camping comes a lot of prep and I don't have any days off work between now and the morning we're headed out (Daphnie is riding with me, we're all meeting up at my place Friday morning). I like to prep meals for camping, I hate cooking and preparing food in the dirty woods, lol, so I need to do my shopping and prepping this week.

I am planning on just doing cereal for breakfast, my usual salads for lunch, and then just have to think up some pre-cooked dinners. I think one night, maybe 2, I'll do grandma's wings (I love those cold), and then maybe just buy a rotisserie chicken or something, and then bring fruits and snacks.

I hope to go grocer shopping tomorrow evening or Monday evening with Stacey, if she comes out to drop baby stuff off (her car will be more full than mine). I have someone staying at my condo to kitty-sit, so I also need to wash my sheets for her and clean up a bit. And I have a ton of laundry to do. I'll likely start on laundry tonight and clean up a bit. Grandma' wings take 3 hours to cook and you have to be around to turn them, so I will most likely stay up a bit later than usual on Thursday and while the wings cook, I'll clean my bathroom and wash my sheets for Kori.

I've never needed a housesitter before, but I am excited she was free to come hang with Juno for the weekend. I told her she'll never want to leave the bachelorrette pad awesome-ness after one weekend. :) She's gonna stay the whole time I'm in Tennessee next month too. So glad to not have to take my kitty anywhere for the week!
