My Date with Bubba

Because my office had to stay open on the 4th of July, and because I was the lucky one who had to work, I got to take my holiday this past Thursday, which ended up being the perfect day to take off, because LaDonna and Landon were "in town" from Kelso, Kitty was free, and Stacey needed a babysitter for Blake...

Stacey and I met at City Liquidators in the morning to do some browsing for my new place, and so she could get the baby to me without my having to drive all the way to Aloha. We poked around the store til she had to head to work, then Blake and I went back to my mom's where he could nap and the rest of us could meet up. LaDonna, my mom and I ate lunch and gossiped while the babies napped, then Kitty met up with us and we *gulp* woke Blake up to get a move on...I never, ever wake sleeping babies up, but he did have a 2 hour nap, so call me a rule breaker.

We'd been planning on Jameson Fountain but none of us wanted to drive downtown, so we went up to Happy Valley Park in the Mt. Scott area instead. It was a nice park, really clean with a great fountain for Blake to splash in and lots of shade for Landon to sleep in. We hung out there for a couple hours, then when all the shade was gone, we split up to go home. I took Blake home, where we sat in the front yard in the kiddy pool and hung out with Uncle Nick til Stace got home.

Blake is such a ball of energy now, I was definitely worn out when the day was done. But I sure do love that little man!
